What a sweet February at Windermere!
While there's always a lot going on up here in the Spring time, this month was particularly special with a delightful, simple, elegant wedding of some dear friends of the ranch.

Mark and Julie visited this past month and wrote this sweet piece about their time here:
We recently spent four wonderful days at Windermere with our two year old grandson, Luca Ray. Our arrival at the property could not have been more perfect as a herd of goats welcomed us as we drove into the ranch. Luca was delighted.
The Bunkhouse was our home and it couldn’t have been more cozy with spectacular views of the ocean and Santa Barbara below. The hills were verdant from the winter rains, much to the pleasure of the livestock – goats, sheep, a llama, a donkey and a steer – who were munching on the abundant green grass.
One of the highlights of the trip for Luca was getting a ranch truck stuck in the lower 40. We went down to visit Joker, the donkey, and Valentino, the llama. Turning the truck around on the road, the wheels were spinning out in the dirt. Julie managed to break it free and from that moment on, Luca insisted that we try to get the truck stuck again.
When we were at the barn, Luca asked, “what is that?” and pointed at a field about 100 yards away. We looked over and realized he spotted a deer! Having never seen one on the ranch, it was quite a treat. Milo later told us that they have a couple of black tail deer on the property right now. He thinks they sneak in when the main gate is up and then stay for a while until they find a way out again.
Living in the city, Windermere is a big change in environment. Just the quiet makes it worth a visit. We can’t wait to return.
