August has been beautiful at Windermere! We've been blessed with wonderful folks visiting and volunteering at the ranch.
It was on January 25th that everything came together.
It was Laughter, Humor, Joy, and Happiness: The Golden Age Is Now–a workshop and celebration of Leigh Taylor Young Morton's 80th Birthday (with a total of more than 500 people in attendance in-person and online). The event was also a fundraiser, raising $100,000 (and counting) toward developing a sustainable animal presence on the ranch.

We last wrote a Windermere update in October about the August and September goings-on around the Ranch.
You likely have heard the classic adage from the film, Field of Dreams, “If you build it, they will come (link).”
Nurturing a community is much like nurturing a garden. The relationships are mutually beneficial. Sometimes the garden gives to you. Sometimes you give to the garden. Sometimes you give to the community. Sometimes the community gives to you.
