Nurturing a community is much like nurturing a garden. The relationships are mutually beneficial. Sometimes the garden gives to you. Sometimes you give to the garden. Sometimes you give to the community. Sometimes the community gives to you.
The green landscape produced by spring showers has now been replaced by summer brown. It’s hot. I find myself wanting to do little and just say, “It’s hot.” And as always, there is much to do on the Ranch.
In July we have been blessed with many wonderful visitors at the ranch. The weather has been mild and inviting, giving our visitors a perfect opportunity to enjoy the land.
Spring is here! Oh, what a gorgeous time at the ranch -- the birds are singing, the wildflowers are blooming, and the hillsides are so lush and green!! All is well at Windermere.
We've had plenty of rain this past month, and the land is so fresh and green now! San Marcos Pass, where Windermere is located, has received 14 inches of rain in February, and 37 inches this rainfall year, which is 157% of normal-to-date rainfall.
All is well at Windermere as we begin the New Year. The land is beautiful and lush from the recent rains, and the views from the ranch are stunning, as always.
We've just had the Autumnal Equinox, and fall is officially here! As the days grow shorter, there is a crispness in the mountain air, telling us winter is just around the corner.
